How to Use the Voter Lookup Tool

Voter Lookup Tool

Voter.Vote’s Voter Lookup Tool lets you search and view detailed profiles of individual voters in seconds. Each record includes contact information, party registration, voter history, and participation data — all within one simple, easy-to-navigate dashboard. Ideal for campaign teams, this tool helps you understand your voters, track outreach, and organize contacts with tags and notes that sync instantly across your campaign. In other words, it keeps your voter data accessible and your workflow simple.

Using the Voter Lookup Tool

From your dashboard, open Voter Lookup in the left-hand menu. You can search by name, address, or voter ID to locate any voter in your district. Once selected, their profile displays across multiple tabs — Voter Information, Voter History, Voter Eligible Contests, Voter Outreach, and Voter CRM — providing a full view of how they engage and vote. In addition, you can move between tabs seamlessly, which saves time and keeps every detail within reach.

Understanding the Tabs

Voter Information: Shows registration details, contact information, demographic data, and AI-generated scores like Political Leaning and Propensity to Vote.

Voter History: Displays past participation, voting methods, and turnout consistency so you can easily identify frequent or occasional voters.

Voter Eligible Contests: Lists local, state, and regional contests this voter can participate in, along with links to current officials for quick reference.

Voter Outreach: Indicates whether your campaign has already contacted this voter by text, email, or canvassing — preventing unnecessary overlap.

Voter CRM: Allows you to add or update tags, record supporter levels, and log interests or notes that your team can access in real time. Moreover, these updates sync automatically, keeping every team member informed.

By exploring each tab, campaign teams gain a deeper understanding of their voters — from historical turnout to current interests. As a result, you can make data-driven decisions, refine outreach strategies, and connect with voters more effectively.

Terms to Know

Propensity to Vote:

This is an AI-generated score that predicts how likely a voter is to cast a ballot in your specific contest. The score ranges from 0 to 100, with 100 representing the highest likelihood to vote and 0 the lowest. Unlike traditional “past turnout” measures, Propensity to Vote uses multiple data points — including voting history, demographics, and behavioral trends — to estimate participation more accurately. Campaigns can use this number to focus outreach on voters most likely to respond or to re-engage those at risk of sitting out.

Political Leaning:

The Political Leaning score also uses a 0 to 100 scale. Voters scoring between 0 and 20 lean Republican, those between 80 and 100 lean Democratic, and scores in the middle (20–80) indicate nonpartisan, independent, or undetermined preferences. This helps campaigns understand general ideological trends without relying solely on party registration data.

Pro Tip

Add tags and notes in the Voter CRM to build custom lists — for example, strong supporters by issue, undecided voters in key neighborhoods, or volunteers ready to help on Election Day.
