Position Summary
As an Outreach & Business Development Associate, you will utilize your grassroots experience to reach out to potential candidates, political clubs, consultants, labor, and business organizations interested in politics. Your deep understanding of political campaigns, field operations, community organizing, and advocacy will empower our mission of democratizing the election process.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships with political candidates, clubs, consultants, and various organizations in the political realm.
- Utilize communication platforms such as emails, phone calls, and texts to effectively communicate Voter.Vote’s mission and services.
- Network actively to identify and qualify leads, driving them through the outreach pipeline.
- Work collaboratively with the Voter.Vote team to strategize and implement outreach campaigns.
- Participate in community and political events to promote Voter.Vote’s services.
- Provide feedback and insights to the team to refine our offerings and outreach methods.
- Continuously update and maintain a database of contacts, ensuring all interactions are logged and information is accurate.
Requirements (from needs to wants)
- Experience in grassroots campaigns, political field operations, community organizing, or advocacy efforts.
- Comfortable with email communication, making phone calls, texting, and other methods of communication.
- Experience with a CRM such as HubSpot or SalesForce.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to cater to the dynamic nature of political campaigns.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to qualify leads efficiently.
- Existing contacts in the political domain will be a significant advantage.
- A genuine passion for democratizing the outreach process in elections and campaigns.
- Southern California political contacts.
